19 Mar 2007 - Timber creek
A bit of a different Hop today - off to the South West, to Timber Creek...
Last Saturdays trip to Gove, and back via Elcho Island, was pretty scenic - but I have to say the views around Timber Creek, near the Victoria River, are better still.
Heading into Timber Creek
The countryside is filled with canyons, escarpments, floodplanes, and rivers currently bursting their banks. But beside all that, none of which is really not that uncommon, their is something intangible that makes it all the more spectacular. Perhaps the contrasts of colors, or the remoteness (it appears less assessable than most other places I've been) - I don't know. But it is simply spectacular.

Again, on the way in

Have I ever said what a CRAP system this is for making blogs??? Do you know the PAIN I go through to get this looking even HALF readable - I'm going home, and I hope someone from the IT departments reads this and fixes things while I'm gone...
